A VPN can show an impressive speed-test result and still perform poorly during a long 4K stream. Stability, packet loss and routing quality matter as much as raw bandwidth.

Start with a baseline

Measure the connection without the VPN, then connect to the VPN and repeat against the same test endpoint. This shows the relative cost of the tunnel rather than a meaningless standalone number.
