Photo Metadata (EXIF/GPS) Remover

Photos from phones and cameras often carry hidden data: where you took them, which device you used and when. See exactly what yours reveal, then download a clean copy before you share it.

JPEG or PNG, up to 10 files and 50 MB each

Your photos never leave your device. They are read and cleaned in your browser, and nothing is uploaded or stored.

How this works

We read the hidden data blocks stored next to the picture: EXIF (camera, date, GPS), XMP, IPTC, comments and, in PNG files, text fields. The clean copy is made by deleting those blocks from the file's bytes. The picture data is not re-compressed, so the image looks exactly the same and there is no quality loss. The colour profile is kept so colours stay correct.

What this cannot tell you

Removing metadata does not hide what is visible in the picture itself, such as street signs, landmarks, reflections or faces. It also cannot change how a site or app handles your photo after you upload it. HEIC, WebP and video files are not supported yet. Check the cleaned copy before relying on it for anything sensitive.
