Email Header Analyzer

Not sure whether an email is really from who it claims? Paste its full headers to see the authentication results, mismatched senders and the route it took.

Headers contain email addresses and IP addresses. They are analysed in your browser and are never uploaded or stored.

How to find the headers

Gmail: open the message, choose the three-dot menu, then Show original, and copy the text at the top. Outlook: open the message, then File, Properties, and copy the Internet headers box. Apple Mail: choose View, Message, All Headers. Paste everything from the first header line down to the blank line.

What this check cannot tell you

We read the results your own mail provider recorded; we cannot re-verify signatures. Header-based checks can miss compromised real accounts and can flag legitimate mail sent through forwarding or mailing lists. When money, passwords or urgency are involved, confirm through the sender's official website or phone number.
